The sweetest couple from UK Eloise and Adam exchanged their vows in front of their families and some excited strangers in Central Park earlier this year:) The energy and love these two exude are infectious! They decided to have their ceremony in a quite little nature nook by Gapstow Bridge and we later explored Central Park and the famous Dumbo Brooklyn Bridge park for most city views!Read More
I absolutely love the way Gina and Oli talk about each other!
Oliver loves Gina’s compassion and empathy where no one else would have it, her fierce loyalty to everyone and everything she loves; her classic, timeless beauty, her ability to tolerate him and everything that makes him intolerable, and her relentless love and support that he can always depend on.
Gina adores Oli’s seemingly endless supply of drive and passion; how he never gives up, even when a situation feels hard or hopeless. His insatiable curiosity and just how incredibly smart he is. His tenacity for adventure, willingness to take risks, and ability to admit and forgive mistake whether they're mine or his. She loves his effortless style and confidence, as well as his ability to lift her up and make her feel whole, heard and special.
Their wedding turned out to be the most elegant laid back celebration at one of my all time favorite venues in Brooklyn - Brooklyn Winery. The space is absolutely gorgeous with it’s green wooden walls and industrial brewery backdrops!Read More
Falling more and more in love with the charming West Village streets and cute hidden parks! Mary Beth and Jaren wanted a neighborhood with a mix of urban backdrops and green spaces and if you scroll down you’ll surely see West Village is quite perfect. We were lucky with Spring blooms as well!
I’ve had a fair share of extreme weather weddings but Amy and Rob’s celebration was the first one that featured some intense flooding! With the road closures and persistent rain we had to experiment and make the best out of the situation. Luckily The Water Witch Club has so much character and the most lovely porch for photos. But I also have to thank Amy and Rob for jumping into the rain with me and capturing some killer night shots at the end of the night! I always say rain can be magical, we just have to embrace it:)
Amy mentioned that she loves Rob for his humor, his generosity and ability to see the best in every situation and person. I remember Rob being an absolute champ and dealing with all the vendor delays on the day and yet he kept his cool and at the end of the day all that mattered was seeing Amy for the first time on that porch.
I have to say a huge thank you to Amy and Rob for letting me document your story and for being vulnerable in front of my camera:) I’ve witnessed so many beautiful touching moments on your wedding day and this is exactly why I love what I do so much!Read More
Ari and Becca met each other during admitted students weekend in college! These two knew early on that they were in it for the long haul - it felt like they had known each other forever they admit. They moved in together during college, and then decided to apply to grad schools together. They both ended up at the University of Michigan, adopted a couple of cats, Ari proposed shortly after and the rest is history!:)
Ari and Becca, when I was going through your wedding gallery to pick the top photos from your day to really showcase all the joy and emotions experienced by all it was ridiculously hard because there was just so much:) From your beautiful ceremony to some of the most hilarious speeches by your siblings ending with everyone having a blast on the dancefloor - it was pure fun! Also, ending the night with waffles is strongly recommended to everybody:)Read More
Tammy and Marc met at a board game night! The rest is history and as they both confess they have been inseparable ever since that night:)
Fast forward 3 years, Tammy and Marc decided to have an intimate celebration at Frankie’s Spuntino in Brooklyn. Let me tell you I absolutely love this space:) The vibe is so cozy and laid back and every wedding I photograph here ends up being magical. It’s time for another gem of a wedding shot by my amazing associate Yunika! This one is full of style and those chill intimate celebration vibes I love so much! Raz and Dave exchanged vows in front of 30 of their closest friends and families at a pretty cool bar event space in Williamsburg - Humboldt & Jackson. Obsessed with this gorgeous couple and all the special moments from their Bowery Hotel wedding celebration! Patti and Lu are the definition of a modern partnership and it makes me so happy that their relationship goes so deep and their wedding represents more than just a one day party but their lifelong commitment to each other. As always, I love to let my couples describe their relationship so here are a few words from Patti:
“Lu and I met during college in November 2007 at a "Friendsgiving" that our maid of honor, Amanda, was hosting in Brooklyn for those who weren't going home for Thanksgiving. We had pretty instant chemistry and went on a date a few days later and have been together ever since :) I think what is one of the most important things after being together for almost 11 years is that we still really like each other and at the very base of it all, are still best friends at the core. We've gone through ups and downs like every other couple, but at the end of each day, we choose each other. We've grown up together through alot of life events (studying abroad apart, graduating college, first jobs, law school, etc) and thus understand the importance of partnership.
Lu will joke that his favorite thing about me is my (bad) singing and my favorite thing about him is his insane productivity (he designed all the invites, stds, menus, etc by himself because he enjoys design as a hobby even though he's a lawyer by trade) but ultimately I think that we both like making each other laugh and there's a sense of comfort when we're close together where our anxiety fades and we just know 'everything will be OK' if we got each other. We're so integrated in each other's lives at this point, that it feels like Lu is as part of me as is my arm or leg. It's a wonderful feeling to have such a deep friendship and partnership with someone :)”Read More
The coolest duo who met while working in a cupcake shop! Also, I am just going to share Miranda’s words describing their relationship here because I definitely can’t say it better:) “Tristan and I met in Boston while working at a cupcake shop together. Tristan has been my rock the last 5 years. We met at a really interesting time in both our lives. He was finishing school; I was trying to start a business (which failed). He graduated and got his first job; I ended up going back to school. I owe a lot to Tristan for helping me find a career path that I really identify with and enjoy. He's really the best partner I could ask for: supportive, loving, and patient. We take care of each other in complementary ways and I'm really grateful we found each other. I asked him what he loved the most about me and this was his response: I love how no matter the challenge (work, school, side hustles, career shift) you totally just go for it and put in the time and effort. Even if things don’t always pan out, you still went for it. I’ve always loved that about you.“
It was a lucky day for these two with some timing hiccups and avoiding the craziest rain downpour earlier! The clouds opened up and we got the most beautiful moments of their intimate ceremony in Fort Tryon Park:)Read More
This day was so special for me! First of all, Arrow Park is one of these magical hidden gems I almost got married in myself:) This venue is gorgeous, vast and feels like an elevated camping spot with lake views and a beautiful house in the middle of all the lush greenery. It also offers a large barn style venue for a large party. Personally, I was looking for an intimate space and they have a gorgeous room in the main house to accommodate a smaller party as well:)
Now the main stars of the day were Amanda and Cody, of course! Their love is so genuine and they can’t help but show it through every little touch and glance. It’s always so rewarding capturing a strong bond like their. One of the sweetest moments of the day was Amanda helping Cody do his hair as he sat blindfolded not to spoil the first look because that’s just want they do on a regular basis!
It was a day full of memories of loved ones who couldn’t be there but most importantly celebrating family and friends who could be there to support Amanda and Cody!
Thank you Amanda and Cody for letting me capture it all:)Read More
A very special celebration of this amazing couple from Australia - Moya and Tim. Brooklyn Winery ended up being a perfect backdrop for their ceremony and party afterwards!Read More
I am back from Japan and ready to share all the warm Summer/Fall weddings from last year! First up is JJ and Fred’s golden sunset celebration at the picturesque Liberty House Restaurant. One of these magical days that started with a downpour and us hiding in the hotel getting some awesome indoor shots of JJ and her girls. JJ and Fred opted to skip the first look and Fred’s reaction was priceless during their ceremony as JJ walked out with her dad. The skies completely cleared and we got the most amazing golden light for their portraits after the ceremony.
JJ and Fred share their love for good music and travel and one of their favorite things to do is to chill at home and watch movies with their dog Clark. Clark, of course, made an appearance during the ceremony looking absolutely adorable and overwhelmed by all the attention:)

When Rosie and Andrew met each other it was during a yoga class at Bhakti Center. Getting married on the rooftop of that same yoga center seemed like a perfect thing to do and let me tell you I was so excited for these two! We met over coffee and they told me all about their vision for their warm, magical and spiritual celebration in the place that brought them together. It honestly sounded amazing but it turned out even better:) It was a perfect July evening for an intimate gathering of friends and family. We ended up exploring the nearby streets for some colorful East Village portraits and went straight back to the rooftop to witness Rosie and Andrew exchange their vows.
Thank you Rosie and Andrew for making me part of your laid back celebration! I am in awe of the depth of your connection with each other and the calmness you exude.Read More
Malibu must be one of my favorite spots in the world! Every time I come back it fills me with joy and inspiration to create and capture that magical West Coast light:)
This past January I had a stop over in Malibu and Los Angeles before documenting a wedding in Seattle and I was so thrilled I met Jina and Albert online and we decided to organize a lifestyle session to capture their engagement photos in El Matador State Beach. Let me tell you this place is crawling with photographers and there must have been at least 5-6 photo sessions happening at the same time. I am not surprised why because this beach is special. It has the rocks, the cliffs, the water and even a rock tunnel! Now I’de like to think we did a couple of things a little differently and really captured the textures and that stunning light;)
Jina and Albert, thank you so much for your energy and for sharing these moments with me!Read More
Areum and Les! What a pair of absolutely amazing women who I was privileged to celebrate with and document their love story at My Moon Restaurant in Williamsburg last Summer. I met these two over coffee initially but I truly got to get a glimpse into their relationship during their engagement session in Queens. We strolled through their neighborhood, popped into a moving image museum for some creative shots and ended at a movie theatre arcade! They are so sweet and playful with each other and, of course, we bonded over our mutual love for Harry Potter:)
Fast forward to their beautiful July wedding day and I felt empowered just to share the room with them because it’s exciting to see lgbt couples being celebrated. Needless to say, the speeches by their friends and family felt so emotional and so important. The words of support and unconditional love filled the room but even without the words you could feel how genuinely excited everyone was for this union:)
Thank you so much Areum and Les for picking me to capture your day!Read More
Liz and Jeff decided to have 2 days of celebrations with their ceremony being held at Conservatory Garden in Central Park on Friday followed by a chill party on Saturday! If you know me I love a little bit of an untraditional timeline so documenting these 2 days of love was pretty epic:)
Liz and Jeff met online and after a couple of fun dates realized that they were falling for each other:)
What Jeff loves about Liz: “Her energy, her fun outlook on life and knack for making him laugh every day. Most of all she makes him a better person.”
What Liz loves about Jeff: “His smile, sense of humor, quirkiness. He is hard working, smart, laid back and an amazing person to be with. Liz is so lucky!!”
A huge thank you to Liz and Jeff for making me part of this beautiful low key celebration! More garden weddings please;)Read More
Casey and Rochelle decided to have an intimate destination wedding in Santa Barbara and I haven’t been as excited about a destination wedding in a long time:) First of all, I love the West Coast so much and travel to LA/Malibu area annually but this time I actually got to stay in sunny Santa Barbara and it was so relaxing! The light by the Pacific Ocean is seriously something else! Second of all, Rochelle found me on instagram and it was a perfect match! It’s always special when the couple loves your work for what it is without the need for pinterest boards and shot lists because as a creative documentary photographer I do my best work when I have your trust to capture the day naturally and in my own style.
Most importantly, Rochelle and Casey are just wonderful people so documenting their laid back celebration was joyful and emotional at times which is everything I hope for on a wedding day:) They exchanged their vows in the garden of Santa Barbara County Courthouse, which is an architectural beauty, and finished the night with an intimate reception dinner at Villa and Vine.

Angela and Andy met at an '80's cover band performance. He asked her to dance to "Faithfully" and they’ve been together ever since. Andy arranged for a little dance right after their ceremony in Wagner cove so they swayed to the song that started it all before we went around NYC for some epic portraits! Angela and Andy told me that what they love most about each other is that they encourage each other's joyful sides and want to play, laugh, travel and just be with one another. Originally from NC, Andy surprised Angela with a proposal in their favorite city and they were back to elope in NYC!Read More
“We love each other because we are best friends, love to laugh together, enjoy how adventurous we can be with one another, and share common values that revolve around family and friends.“ - AJ and Morgan.
Oh these two sweethearts met back in 2013 through work but after a few Central Park runs, a fun Birthday party, High Line strolls and exploring NYC together over that Summer they fell in love and the rest is history:)
I was thrilled to be back at the finest Metropolitan Building. This time around Morgan and AJ had their reception and ceremony on the 2nd floor and I think the setup was perfect! Of course, we took advantage of the gorgeous 3rd floor with it’s antique decor and furniture display for a couple of epic portraits.
Most importantly, the celebration flowed beautifully and it was so fun to capture fun and all the emotional moments:)Read More
It seems fitting to finally share Becca and Dave’s celebration on the blog right before New Year’s Eve because these two had their first kiss on New Year’s Eve back in 2010!
Becca and Dave’s wedding day felt like an adventure! These two decided to have an intimate ceremony at City Clerk’s office followed by an intimate dinner with family at one of my favorite places Freeman’s Restaurant in SOHO. We started our day in Brooklyn because this is where Rebecca and Dave have been living with their adorable pup Scout. Naturally, we did their first look in their backyard accompanied by Scout:) Walked through the gorgeous streets of Park Slope and stopped at Grand Army Plaza for photos. Next stop was City Hall and Becca’s father was let in right before they closed the doors for visitors! We were all anxiously waiting for him to arrive and I will never forget that moment and the couple of photos I shot of Becca breathing a sigh of relief that her dad was actually there to witness their ceremony. I knew then how important it was for Becca and Dave to have family there! After they said their I do’s we explored the neighborhood around City Clerk’s office which is actually very photogenic with its grand architecture. The celebration continued at the Freeman’s Restaurant in one of their private rooms on the second floor but we also did a couple of photos in the iconic Freeman’s Alley.
I am so grateful to capture intimate love stories like this one because a great celebration is not about how big you make it but about having the people dearest to you to celebrate with you:)Read More
