Nestled above the Hudson River at Private Estate Events in Germantown, this summer wedding blended relaxed elegance with thoughtful, personal touches. The day was centered around bringing people together, with a timeless green and white color palette that complemented the surrounding landscape and sweeping river views.
From the beginning, the couple focused on creating meaningful experiences for their guests. During cocktail hour, the bride added a memorable touch by sabering a champagne bottle, delighting guests as they gathered on the lawn overlooking the river. Later, a second-line band led everyone from cocktail hour to the reception tent, transforming the walk into a lively procession filled with music, movement, and celebration.
The reception was filled with details that reflected the couple's creativity and generosity. In place of a traditional seating chart, guests found custom tambourines featuring their names, serving both as escort cards and keepsakes for the evening. At each place setting, the couple had also left a handwritten note. They had taken the time to write a personal message to every guest, which everyone was invited to open at the start of dinner. It was a simple but meaningful gesture that set the tone for the evening and highlighted the close relationships that had brought everyone together.
With beautiful Hudson Valley views, thoughtful details woven throughout the day, and a guest experience that felt both intentional and welcoming, this Germantown wedding was a reflection of a couple who truly wanted to celebrate alongside the people they love most.
