3rd time is a charm! Although we kept rescheduling in hopes for a better weather we got a pretty awesome foggy evening to stroll around Fort Tryon Park with Sam and Jared! These two were so great and goofy with each other:) Looking forward to Sam and Jared's wedding in September!

Jessie and Jon's beautiful heartfelt wedding is finally blogged! I remember the cold March day like it was yesterday and these two still wanted to go out and explore the Dumbo neighborhood and get some portraits outdoors! I love when I get to meet the parents and friends of a couple and instantly see the connection that they share with each other. Jessie and Jon are special because everyone surrounding them were so full of love for the couple and it was just an evening full of so many feelings and emotions. When you have an endless line of people coming up to the mic and saying the most incredible things about your couple you just know they have a special way with everyone around them:) So grateful I was a part of this celebration!

When you have a couple who met at only 17 while working in a mall in Brisbane, Australia you know you are lucky to capture their love story. Karah and Scott got engaged during their first trip to New York and they both fell in love with the vibrant city. The decision to come back and get married in Brooklyn was an easy one. It was a day full of unexpected delays but, like I told Karah and Scott, I love the unexpected and promised it would all be great no matter what. And it was;)

Read MoreMoments - Pacific North West
I took a little break from blogging and booked a last minute trip to Pacific North West. My friend Jessica and I drove up from San Francisco to Seattle stopping in many wondrous locations. This trip has been life changing! I had moments to reflect and I feel so refreshed and inspired to photograph weddings and be more creative and capture light and moments in new unexpected ways. Traveling is the one thing that leaves me inspired to always push harder and be more creative. I also feel the undeniable pull to shoot more celebrations in nature because natural elements give me so much piece and make for some amazing photos!
This trip was a journey through rain and unexpected sunshine in the North, getting wet and feeling comfortable being uncomfortable, surprise stops, closed roads, jumping over beach rivers, climbing different things, confusing fog with clouds, lots of good coffee and much much more. Here are a few shots that bring back so many memories. Also, if you are considering a relaxing honeymoon on Pacific North West please check out Wild Spring Habitat Cabins because the experience of staying there just for one night was transcendent.

This year my wedding season started in early January thanks to these two amazing women who decided to get married! I met Sarah and Lauren for coffee a little over a month before their wedding day and these two had zero idea about how their day would go but they were clearly beyond excited to get some of the closest friends and family for a very special intimate celebration in Williamsburg. I gladly shared as much wedding planning knowledge as I could with them and looking back I think the day was as laid back as they wanted it to be. Did I mention it was a snow storm on their wedding day?:) With some uber delays we finally made it to a unique loft space in Williamsburg where the girls were getting married. I've witnessed many ceremonies and they are all special but being there for Sarah and Lauren's ceremony really made me feel like I am doing this for a reason! It was such a heartfelt and emotional moment! I loved every minute of the day and I only wish I could stay longer to capture more moments! Congrats once again to two brides!

Last October was so beautiful! Michelle and Joseph got married at Brecknock Hall on the North Fork in Long Island. I love that area so much with its beaches and so much nature that I miss living in the city. I arrived to document these two getting ready at the mansion and then we took a golf cart to explore the nearby beaches and hidden paths. Michelle and Joseph are so sweet and funny together they made it easy for me:) I had a blast documenting their tent dinner reception that turned into a super fun party. Thank you for all the moments, Michelle and Joseph!

It's time to share some winter love stories on the blog:) How about a couple who after years of not seeing each other met at a breakfast with a friend and found out they both had male boxers named Gus?! Meant to be for sure! I had a little adventure with Katie and Daniel back in December. These two came all the way from Australia after falling in love with the big city on a prior trip. We met up in Central Park and we climbed some rocks, drove around the city in yellow cabs, were trapped by tourists on the High Line and finally made it to City Hall for their ceremony:) To celebrate we hiked the Brooklyn Bridge for some final photos!

Today I am documenting Jessie and Jon getting married at 26 Bridge and I am excited to share their engagement photos I took back in December. I always tell my couples we don't have to do the regular cheesy posed photos in iconic locations. Instead, let's just hang out in your home or neighborhood and capture the places that are truly important to you:) That's exactly what Jessie and Jon had in mind! We drank tea, looked through magazines, climbed to the roof and even walked through the snow/slush and it was so worth it:)

"Danny is the frosting on the cake and Molly is the foundation" - best relationship description I've heard during a ceremony:) But seriously it was a magical night with these two souls! When two Aussies get eloped in NYC and I get to document the process magic happens! Couldn't be happier with how everything turned out although we spent half the time in traffic:) I love when couples let me document a few moments in the hotel room beforehand and you can just see and feel all the excitement and anticipation! This was also my first time photographing an elopement ceremony near Gapstow Bridge in Central Park. I have to admit it's one of my favorite spots now:) It's quite hidden from the crowds and yet you can still see the city skyscrapers! We finished our session all the way in Brooklyn with the best city views in Brooklyn Bridge Park.

I met Chris and Liz long before their wedding at a wedding show in Brooklyn. These two were so in love and very excited about the wedding day to come. I think the word 'exciting" is an understatement for how their celebration really felt! It was grand, it was emotional and it was gorgeous and crazy all at the same time! It was also the hottest August day I can remember but it didn't really matter:) After a beautiful ceremony the guests enjoyed cocktails on a rooftop bar at The Skylark followed by what I can only call "the most epic dance party ever"! Chris and Liz busted some crazy moves on the dance floor and their friends and family did not disappoint either:) Thank you once again to Chris and Liz for making me a part of their day and letting me capture all the fun!
